So much has happened since my last post regarding SAS I honestly dont know where to begin!

How about my last pain in the ass, Visas.
Waiting for the visas to be approved wasn't stressful until the Brazilian consulates decided to go on strike! Yeah STRIKE! They had just received my visa application at this point so I was positive it would be a couple more weeks till I got my passport with visas back. Fortunately, I got everything back less than a week later! I definitely did a happy dance when I saw the package on my front door step!

My financial aid situation isn't ideal, but it is complete. As I have stated in earlier post, my school and SAS are doing a consortiuum agreement. This part has taken the longest. It took 3 MONTHS to have it completed. Semester at sea honestly took the longest. They had it for 2 months. With the financial aid I have for my home school and the measly financial aid from SAS I have everything paid off and financially I am ready to hop on the boat.

Now that my Visas and Financial aid are done, I have my medical history form to complete and a 2 x 2 photo to send to SAS. The 2x2 photo is basically for the "year book". The medical history form needs to be done before the end of July. I need to get all my required vaccines and all my medical check ups done.

I also need to start packing! I think the first step would be to start a packing list. There are tons of them online and SAS has a recommended packing list. I honestly just havent had the time to type it out and truly think about it. I have decided I should buy a swimsuit since, being from Alaska, I dont exactly own one from the last 2 years of my life. Finding a swimsuit is really hard for me because I have body image issues like just about every single person on the planet. I also have scars from my surgery back in March. I also can't afford to spend a ton of money on one swimsuit because Im going to need atleast 2 swimsuits and a cover up or 2.

Finally the most fun part of the voyage is the trips in port. Tonight is the deadline for registering for overnight trips in Europe. I have signed up and paid for a trip in Portugal. We will be going to the beaches in Algrave and then DEEP SEA FISHING!!!!! Yeah deep sea fishing in FREAKING PORTUGAL! The fisherman inside me was like umm there's not a small balls chance in hell that I will miss out on that opportunity! I haven't signed up for any other trips. I wanna see the trips for Africa and South America so I can budget for the trips.

There's just about 7 weeks till I board the ship and it doesn't seem real, but it's happening and I need to get a move on packing and getting ready for that day!
